Manual Therapy

As a board-certified orthopedic physical therapy specialist, I believe it is so important to use my hands during assessment and treatment. The physical therapy scope of practice is huge. We treat muscles, joints, nerves, fascia — if it hurts when you move it, it’s in our field.

I am trained in various types of manual therapy and will employ whichever techniques suit your injury best. These include:

  • Soft tissue mobilization, aka “massage”

  • Instrumented assisted soft tissue mobilization, aka “scraping”

  • Joint mobilization

  • Osteopathic manipulation, aka “cracking”

  • Application of kinesiology tape

  • Scar tissue mobilization

  • Cupping (see here for more)

  • Dry needling (see here for more)
