Frequently Asked Questions

  • I am out of network with insurance companies, meaning that while you pay for my services up front, you can submit for reimbursement from your insurance company. I’m happy to provide you with paperwork to submit for full or partial reimbursement from your insurance company. Depending on your plan, this could reduce the cost to the amount of your usual copay. • Yes! As a medical provider, I absolutely can take HSA/FSA cards.

  • I’m passionate about providing you the best care available. By cutting out the insurance middleman and partnering with you instead, I’m able to spend a full hour providing you with specialized care and education to help drive you toward independence. Typically, you’ll see a PT for 30-40 minutes, a few times per week. At Elite Care PT, we’ll work for an hour each session, usually not more than once per week, and really focus on changes you can make at home to maximize improvement.

  • As with most things in life, you’ll get out of this what you put in. The more committed you are to enacting our plan, the shorter our time together will be. Chronic conditions usually take longer than new injuries. For more specifics about your case, schedule your free discovery call to chat!

  • As a mom of two small boys, I couldn’t understand more! Feel free to bring your little ones, but know that our treatments will run on schedule and our time together may be limited by distractions. If we are completing pelvic floor work you may need to disrobe, so older kids won’t be able to join. I keep a few toys in the office and can’t wait to meet your kiddos!

  • Nope! The state of New Hampshire allows Direct Access to physical therapy care. There are some conditions where you will need to be cleared by your medical provider prior to treatment. Please let me know about your referral or script if you have one.

  • I respect you and your time immensely. I will see you on time and will have reviewed any paperwork you completed prior to your session. A first visit typically includes a thorough discussion of your medical history, current injury or what I am treating you for, then a full body functional movement exam, strength and range of motion testing, and other special tests as appropriate. If you are being seen for a pelvic health issue, an internal examination may be necessary. This will only ever be completed with patient consent and you’ll be draped for modesty and in a very private space. This helps to provide me with the most accurate information and allows me to best determine your plan of care. Once the exam is finished, we will discuss my findings and come up with a plan and goals together.

  • Your comfort is extremely important to me. I will always defer to you and your comfort level when deciding whether a pelvic floor exam is the way to go. If we do decide to do internal work, the space is private and you’ll be draped and kept covered as much as possible. I use a table warmer to make it as comfy as it can be. My intent is for you to feel good about our sessions and know that you are in control. Although an internal exam is often where we get the most information, there are always other options for things to work on. Still not sure? Give me a call, let’s talk about it some more!

  • Wear comfortable clothing you can move around in. Every session may be different and will focus on what you need most. If you are being assessed for a lower extremity issue, please wear shorts.

  • Absolutely! I love to work as part of a team and if I can’t help you I will help you find somebody who can!

  • I was born and raised in Windham, and I have a broad and collaborative network of excellent PTs that I trust and respect. If for some reason we don’t work well together, I’ll help you find your match!

  • Dry needling is a tool in my tool box, but absolutely not necessary if it’s not something you’re comfortable with. I use myotech needles which are the highest quality and designed to reduce discomfort during and after the treatment. I’ve been needling since 2014 and have honed my efficiency to be as conservative and minimalist as possible while still achieving the best results.

Insurance does not typically cover dry needling, so it tends to be a cash pay add on at any clinic. At Elite Care PT, it’s included in the appointment fee!

  • High quality professional, yet still approachable and easy to communicate with! Scheduling was quick and easy, she fit me in the very next day. She customized a session just for me, I felt like my unique needs were very catered to. I had been suffering with gnarly pain for a week, saw her yesterday and feel SO much better today! Excellent care provider!

  • Samantha was just amazing. From our initial conversation she made it obvious that she cares for her patients and strives to make the whole experience as comfortable as possible. Treatment here is nothing like a typical experience at a physical therapist, you are her only focus. I can’t recommend her enough.

  • Sam made me hopeful that my injury would get better when I had been so frustrated, and even in a few short weeks of PT it’s already made huge improvements. Her caring and compassionate nature is amazing and she’s got a great sense of humor too :) the sessions flew by - even the ones with dry needling! I very grateful for her help, her knowledge and her positive energy.
